THE JOURNEY (Doll of Flesh)

In Meat Dolls (Arcadia Ed 2008) is the theme of travel . As I said, is a thread that runs in every story.

Simon begins his journey (and enters our story) when thrown from a speeding car.
Since then, his life continues to roll, from the Upper Town, where it is thrown like garbage, the first in a pot, then in a cage in the basement of a convent.
One day, however, Simon manages to emerge from the darkness on a cold spring, it goes back to the light, in the Lower Town, as a plan that, at the first ray of sun, blossoms.
It can not be said to be lucky, but Olivia is certainly unfortunate for him, because he makes you a thief and a prostitute.
Simon's life undergoes a sudden surge when it is sold to my Lord and comes in a huge house, to fall again when it turns out that my Lord is a pedophile.
And in this roller coaster, what changes in Simon? What
lost and what gained?

His trip is special because, although it looks, what interests us is not merely follow his ups and downs, as in what he does not change . Despite being raised in the midst of hardship, injustice and violence, desperate love, even in the wrong people, Simon has maintained his innocence.
not only physical, but also moral.

E 'a trip too?

JOURNEY (The Exiles)

In every story we talk about travel, whether spiritual or material, each has a history there, it is only through the journey that you move from one point to another, that the events evolve, that arrive at the destination point.

The Exiles is about a journey from top to bottom and vice versa. It is not easy to discover the underground world of the characters, going down, they face their fears, to an inevitable transformation, which have to cope with if they back.
And the journey to the surface is not simply a reverse path, but a symbolic rebirth, especially as regards not only those who fell (Colman), but especially those who get (the insect population that lives underground).

Colman concluded this part of his journey, he faced his fears and made his choices. The man who returns to the surface is different from the man who fell. He gained in knowledge and responsibility.

Insectoids leaving the subsoil, which pass from the darkness to light, from hot to cold, they get another victory manifest their existence.
Their journey is, in fact, more important than to Colman.
Colman's life has changed, of course, the journey into the underworld of Exile is the pivot around which his life has turned around, changing direction, but for the insects, the change was drastic.
I fell in Exile prisoners and defeated and leaving free and winners, so many that no one can keep their head.

Colman's journey will continue, however, in a sense, the trip ended Insectoid. They are where they wanted to be, they got what they wanted, hence their interest in change there is still more our interest to know that happen in their future is less ^ ^ Back
